Four different players, raiding a bank. What could go wrong? In a game filled with deception and lack of trust, who will make it out with the most cash?

A four-player couch co-op heist game. Your goal is to steal the most amount of money, working with or against your fellow criminals.

Story

A world where crime is booming, and there is no sign of stopping. Led by their own interests, our group of mismatched criminals have been hired by a mysterious benefactor to perform a heist at the Bank of the City of Facenham. 

Meet the crew!

Bat -

Bat is a Japanese American baseball player. Despite being the number one ranked baseball player in the world, no one truly knows his real name. Tired of his fame,  Bat decided to have a career change that allows him to work on his swing.

Quacktin -

 Real name Joe King. Quacktin Hook once owned a Hook-A-Duck stand which went out of business when a competing Grab-A-Goose stand opened nearby. He is now in desperate need for money, which is why he is taking part in the heist. Growing up with a love and obsession for pirates, Quacktin channels this through his amputated leg, choosing to theme it around a hook, he also dons his pirate’s jacket over his work gear. 

Kacie - 

With a “slight” cat obsession and major sister issues, Kacie has the ultimate goal to earn enough money to build herself a cat sanctuary. Caused by the conflict with her sister, Kacie rejects the adult world as she believes it will only lead to misery, choosing instead to vow against it by dressing and acting in a childlike manner. 

Dinah -

Dinah Mite.  A highly skilled creative engineer and weaponsmith who creates awesome inventions under her company: The Dinah-Mite Cooperation. Dinah uses her inventions to cheat in gambling games, despite not knowing how to actually play the games, she often finds herself being blacklisted from both legal and illegal gambling establishments. Dinah notoriously made her name by utilizing her skills to unconventionally cheat participating in Uno tournaments. 

Whilst every character is being paid to complete the job, any extra cash can support each of their own personal goals, friendly casualties only increase your cut.

Gameplay

Legal Tender is a Top down, twin stick couch co-op shooter. 

Legal Tender centres around a bank heist, the goal is to make it out with the most amount of money. 

The plan is simple:

1. Break into the vault
2. Steal the cash
3. Get to the escape car 

The getaway driver will come to pick you up 3 minutes after he drops you off, he's only going to wait one minute so make sure you're ready to leave when he gets there.

Seems easy right? There should only be a few guards in your way, just don't get cocky when the SWAT teams show up.

Equipment

Each character is equipped with a weapon to start the game with, some even having a unique item that can't be found elsewhere in the level (such as Bat's Baseball Bat). 

Every weapon in the game does different amounts of damage and can be used for different situations to the players advantage. For example, the grenade launcher is slow and hard to hit against other players but great for dealing with large groups of Police all at once.

Abilities

The characters have been hired for their unique skills. Once charged each character can use a powerful ability that can only be used by them.

The abilities include:

Bat - What made him famous as a baseball player in the good old days, bat enters his Home Run mode, going at double speed and taking reduced damage. 

Dinah - Of all her inventions this is by far the most devastating, bullets that can bounce off walls are already scary, with the added power expelled by her shoulder cannons they are even scarier.

Kacie - all the money Kacie gets she stores in her giant bear backpack, including all of the solid gold ingots which will be hitting you in the face when she uses her signature bear slam attack.

Quacktin - What better way to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies than to throw exploding rubber ducks at them. Quacktin keeps it a secret what makes them quite so explosive for what they are.
